"watch them burn"

Embers are all that is left
Of what was once a great fire,
And I stand at the top of the tallest building
Of the biggest empire
In distress
Depressed that it ended in this,
Even violence is more dignified
Than not giving a shit.
But I couldn’t care less,
Not anymore.
I look down at the rubble,
Fires burning, burst little protective bubbles.

You were never safe
And if you think you are, your thinking is wrong.
RIOTS ARE NOT THE PROBLEM.
And stop worrying about suicide bombs,
Start worrying about your government,
How it says it can’t do any wrong.
Maybe the best solution
Is burning down the Oval Office,
We need to get violent sometimes,
Or we will never be heard,
So let the fires burn.

Don’t you want to be heard?
